Life may bend you, but it will never break you. You are strong, resilient, and capable of overcoming any obstacle. Believe in yourself, keep pushing forward, and the life of your dreams will be waiting for you on the other side.
– Your Future Self
Dearest Teenage Self,
I know you’re struggling with a lot of things right now. I want you to know that I love you and that everything will be okay. I know that you’re having a hard time right now, that you’re feeling like everything is falling apart and that life will never get better. But I promise you, it will.
I know that you feel like nobody understands you, that you don’t fit in, and that nobody cares about you. But let me tell you, there are people who do. There are people who love you, who see your worth, who admire your courage and determination. And most importantly, there are people who are going to help you get through this.
I know that it feels like your struggles are never going to end, that every day is a battle, and that you’re not going to make it. But let me tell you, you will. You are stronger than you know, more resilient than you think, and more capable than you give yourself credit for. You have a bright future ahead of you, full of possibilities, opportunities, and adventures.
I know that it feels like your dreams are out of reach, that you’ll never be able to achieve them, that you’re not good enough. But let me tell you, you are. You have everything you need to succeed, to make your dreams come true, to create a life that you love. You are smart, creative, and talented. You have a unique perspective on the world, a vision for the future, and a passion for life. You are destined for greatness.

I know that it feels like you’re alone in this, that nobody can relate to what you’re going through, that nobody cares. But let me tell you, you’re not. You are part of a community, a tribe, a family of people who have gone through similar struggles, who have overcome similar obstacles, who have thrived despite the odds. You are never alone, even if it feels that way sometimes. There are people who understand, who empathize, who support you.
You are loved, that you are worthy, that you are enough. You don’t have to prove anything to anyone, you don’t have to live up to anyone’s expectations, you don’t have to be perfect. You are perfect just the way you are, flaws and all. You are enough, just as you are. You are loved, just for being you.
I want you to know that there is hope, that there is light, that there is joy. You will get through this, and you will come out the other side stronger, wiser, and happier. You will find your place in the world, your purpose, your calling. You will make a difference, in your own life and in the lives of others. You will find love, friendship, and support. You will find happiness, fulfillment, and meaning.
I believe in you, that I am proud of you and I love you. You are an amazing person, with so much potential, so much to offer, so much to give. You are beautiful, inside and out. You are worthy of love, of respect, of admiration. You are an inspiration, to me and to others.
So please, my dearest teenage self, keep your head up, keep going, and keep fighting. You are not alone, you are not hopeless, and you are not worthless. You are amazing, you are powerful, and you are enough. You are the best thing that ever happened to me, and I am so grateful to be on this journey with you.
With endless love and support,
Your Future Self
