Mindful Living: 5 Life-Changing Morning Rituals That Will Help You Live with Purpose and Intention!

Mindful Living: 5 Life-Changing Morning Activities That Will Help You Manifest Miracles in Your Life Every Day!

“You either run the day, or it runs you. What will you choose?”

“Ugh. How is it morning already?”

“I don’t feel like waking up.”

“I’m just going to snooze for another 20 minutes.”

Have you ever had thoughts like these in the morning, and then struggled to get up?

For the vast majority of us, the answer is yes. And while these thoughts may seem insignificant, they actually aren’t.

How you wake up sets the tone for your entire day. If you dread waking up in the morning, you’re telling the universe, “I don’t care about today, I don’t want to be here.” And when you realize that’s the energy you’re sending out into the ethos, it’s no wonder why everything that can go wrong does:

You stub your toe.

You get stuck in traffic.

You forget your keys.

You get to work late.

Yikes! That’s why it’s crucial you wake up with joy, intention, and excitement.

Here are 5 life-changing morning rituals you need to start doing now:

1.) Wake up as soon as your alarm goes off

Time is flying by, and every minute you waste is a minute you’ll never get back.

Value your time and wake up as soon as your alarm goes off. Don’t keep hitting snooze. Let the universe know you’re ready and excited for this new day — not dreading it!

Once you get into the habit of waking up on time, you’ll start enjoying your mornings more. No longer will you feel stressed or rushed in the morning. Instead, you’ll feel calm, relaxed and ready to take on a new day!

2.) Exchange your ‘complaints’ for ‘thanks’

The universe is energetic, and like energy attracts like energy. When you complain, you attract more things in your life to complain about. When you give thanks, you attract more things in your life to be thankful for.

Rather than greeting each morning in a negative manner, instead start your day by giving thanks. Before you get out of bed, say or think three things you’re grateful for.

For example:

“Thank you for this day. I’m grateful to have another day to live life.”

“Thank you for this bed. I’m grateful I have a comfortable place to sleep.”

“Thank you for the sunshine. I’m grateful for its warmth and light.”

By starting each day with gratitude, the universe will respond with more things for you to be grateful for.

3.) Do something for yourself

Rather than frantically rushing around in the morning, or wasting your time doing mindless activities (like scrolling through social media or watching TV), set aside “you” time — even if this means waking up 15 or 20 minutes earlier!

Focus on doing an activity that brings you joy, and makes you feel good.

Some examples are: journaling, exercising, reading and meditating.

If you always make time for yourself first thing in the morning, you’ll never feel like your day runs you. You’ll feel in control of your life, and enjoy waking up in the morning!

4.) Listen to an inspirational video

Your subconscious mind is open and receptive in the morning. Feed it motivation as you get ready for your day by listening to inspirational videos.

You don’t need to watch these videos — you just need to listen to them. And this can be done when you’re having a shower, getting ready or eating your breakfast.

The wise words, positive affirmations and success stories you hear from others will help you keep your thoughts upbeat and your mind focused and motivated!

5.) Stop checking your phone

Many of us are in the habit of sleeping next to or close to our phones. Then when we wake up in the morning, we reach over and grab them and immediately begin checking our emails, messages, and social media accounts.

Rather than starting our day off on a controlled note and being conscious of what we’re feeding our minds, we instead worry about everything we’ve “missed” since the night before, and feel as though we have so much to catch up on. This can create feelings of overwhelm, dread and unhappiness.

Take back control of your mornings and resist the urge to check your phone. At night, place your phone out of arm’s reach so you aren’t tempted to hit snooze or check it as soon as you wake up.

Wait until you leave your house to scroll through your phone — doing this will ensure you don’t end up wasting your entire morning checking notifications and emails, and it will also ensure you are in control of your day!

Follow these 5 life-changing suggestions, and enjoy living a life with purpose and intention every day!

  1. My #1 habit I need to break is hitting that snooze button and sleeping in! If I got up when I planned, I would get so much done and have much more “me” time. Thanks for this article, I’m going to use it to help me break this awful habit! <3

    1. I have been guilty of this more often than I’d like to admit too 😉 Waking up when my alarm goes off has become a powerful transformation! Let me know how your journey goes!

      Big love, Xx,
